Subject to space being available, your place will be confirmed upon receipt of the relevant payment.
Registration in Cambridge Registration will be in The Charles Hotel and collection of the Final Programme and other documentation commences on Saturday afternoon 25 October, and finishes on Sunday morning, 26 October. The official language of the Symposium will be English.
How to reach the Cambridge All flights to Boston go to Logan International Airport. There are many flights to Boston from all over the world. The Charles Hotel is about 20-30 minutes by taxi from the airport. Trains: Boston is served by trains from many destinations and there is the excellent Acela Express train from New York. Please visit www.amtrak.com for further details. Parking: for those of you who wish to drive, please note that parking is difficult in Cambridge. There is parking at The Charles Hotel at a fee of US$20 per day or US$28 per day for valet parking, which allows you 24-hour access.
Accommodation The Charles Hotel is one of Cambridge ‘s luxury hotels and it boasts some of the finest dining in the Boston area with the renowned Rialto Restaurant, Henrietta ‘s Table, the Regattabar -dubbed “Boston ‘s Best Jazz Bar “and the warm, sophisticated Noir Bar. To work all that off the guests of The Charles are invited to use the facilities of the adjacent Well Bridge Health and Fitness Center, which features a roof- top pool, aerobic studio as well as a well-equipped gym.
Social Programme Gala Dinner A Welcome Reception will be held in The Charles Hotel on Sunday evening 26 October. The Gala Dinner will be held on Tuesday evening, 28 October, at a nearby venue.
Awards Ceremony The Symposium Awards Ceremony will be held as part of the final working session of the Symposium Closing Ceremony on Wednesday afternoon, 29 October. It is scheduled to end at 5.30 pm.
Accompanying persons Accompanying persons are welcome to join in the social programme during the Symposium. There is so much to do and see in and around Cambridge and Boston and, if appropriate, a coffee morning will be arranged for people to meet up. Please note that attendance at any working session of the symposium is not permitted for accompanying persons.
Tuesday afternoon 24 October In response to popular demand, there will be just one afternoon of free time and no sessions will be held on Tuesday afternoon, leaving delegates to pursue other interests and commitments not to mention exploring the beautiful cities of both Boston and Cambridge.
